Customer Service Policy: One World Imports ("OWI") takes great pride in its furniture collections ("Products") and in our Customers’ satisfaction with such. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, simply call our Customer Service Department or email to info@one-world-imports.
Manufacturing/Care: Our Products are handmade/finished. Due to the nature of the accompanying processes, variations in color, finish and other Product specifications may occur. These are not considered defects but further enhancements to the unique nature of the Product.
Price List: OWI reserves the right to discontinue or add Product or to change prices, specifications and delivery procedures without notice. We make every attempt to notify our customers of these changes prior to shipping.
Ordering: The minimum opening order for furniture is $2,500. The minimum re-order is $1500. Purchaser shall pay in full when placing order(s) for in-stock product. All orders will be acknowledged by OWI as soon as possible after placement. Please review your OWI order carefully upon receipt for pricing, shipping address, anticipated shipping dates and preferred carrier information and notify us promptly of any errors or requested revisions.
Stock Orders & Payment Terms: All orders must meet the minimum ordering requirements stated above. All orders must be paid-in-full before release for delivery from our warehouse. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, wire transfers and checks. We do not offer COD. Net 30 upon credit approval (please provide credit sheet). No credit card payments will be accepted for accounts paying on Net 30 terms.
Important: Orders will not process until a valid form of payment is established. Payment will ALWAYS process prior to shipping.
Container Ordering & Payment Terms: A fifty percent (50%) deposit is required to begin production on full container orders. To obtain container pricing, you must order a container of furniture that is shipped directly from the country of origin to your store, warehouse or project location. Direct container sizes are 20' and 40' high cubes. Your account manager can assist you in building an order that will fill the container size you select. Container minimums of 5 pieces per item apply. Shipping charges will be added to the final invoice.
Shipping: Lead Time is 12-16 weeks from date of One World Imports’ receipt of order. In stock orders will ship within 1-10 business days. With the exception of full container purchases, Products ship from our warehouse, FOB, San Leandro, CA. Product becomes Purchaser’s property once it leaves OWI’s warehouse and all shipments are made at Purchaser’s risk. Freight charges are the responsibility of the Purchaser and should be paid directly to the carrier. Purchaser must advise OWI as to both a method/carrier and delivery route at the time of order placement. Purchaser shall also advise both OWI and the independent carrier if there are special circumstances surrounding the delivery (e.g. absence of dock, residential delivery, up or down stairs with no elevator, etc.) OWI will attempt to comply with reasonable special instructions and delivery requests as long as they do not conflict with our terms and conditions. Full containers are purchased FOB India, international factory with title and risk of loss passing to Purchaser upon release from international factory and all related import costs the responsibility of Purchaser.
Backorders/Partial Shipments: Occasionally, items are backordered due to manufacturing and delivery logistics. In addition, it is OWI’s policy to ship less than a complete order if the majority of the ordered pieces are available. If you do not accept backorders or partial shipments, please request "ship complete only" at the time of order placement.
Cancellations/Revisions/Returns: An order, once received and acknowledged by OWI is considered valid and binding. Except if Product is not available for shipping for an extended period of time, cancellations are not accepted. Order revisions will be valid only with OWI’s written authorization. Returns are not accepted. Customers will be invoiced for freight on any unauthorized returned shipments and will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Customers requesting re-shipping do so at their own cost for the new freight. Available to Ship/Storage Charges: Purchaser will be notified when orders are ready for shipment, and payment in full should be made as quickly as possible thereafter. If postponement of payment occurs, at OWI’s sole discretion, orders delayed for shipping past thirty (30) days may be cancelled by OWI with the related Product returned to inventory for sale to other customers and the associated deposit forfeited. For orders where Purchaser requests (in writing) that Product available to ship be held, OWI will do so until the end of the related month. Storage charges of 5% per month of the item price will accrue thereafter. These charges will be due and payable BEFORE the order is released and will be pro-rated for partial months that Products remain in OWI’s distribution center. Damages and Freight Claim Procedures: Please inspect all products in your shipment thoroughly upon arrival. Please note any damages/shortages on the bill of lading before you sign for receipt of the shipment. All freight claims must be addressed by the Purchaser directly to the independent carrier but should also be reported to our Customer Service Department within five (5) days of receipt. For damaged Products, we suggest Purchaser retain the original packaging until the issue is resolved and take digital photographs depicting all damage. Written authorization must be received from OWI before damaged Product may be returned for repair/replacement. Will call claims: customers picking up orders MUST FULLY INSPECT PRODUCT upon pick up. One World Imports relinquishes any responsibility for damages once a customer has picked their order. Contingencies/Delays: Deliveries may be contingent upon OWI’s receiving shipment of Product from outside the United States. OWI shall not be responsible for any failure or delay in delivery due to any cause beyond its control including, without limitation, labor difficulties, accidents, contingencies of transportation, import restrictions, fires, floods, war, default or failure of its suppliers, governmental actions or other causes of like or different character (whether or not contemplated by either party) beyond OWI’s control. OWI may also allocate its available Product among any or all of its Purchasers on such basis as OWI, in its sole discretion may determine, without liability for any failure to perform. Warranties: OWI guarantees its product to be free from defects of workmanship. Due to environmental elements and relative humidity, wood will sometimes expand and shrink. We take great care to construct our furniture in a manner that allows the wood to shrink and expand. Under drastic temperature changes, cracks may sometimes appear; however, this is a very rare occurrence. Damage claims of this nature will be assessed on an individual basis if they are received within three months. We do not accept returns without written authorization from our office. Due to the nature of hand carved products, dimensions, details and/or colors represented in our catalogs may vary. This antique/one of a kind product may vary significantly. There are no warranties which extend beyond the description of the face hereof (if any.) No express warranties and no implied warranties, whether of merchantability or fitness for any particular use or otherwise (except as to title) shall apply to Products sold by OWI.
